Sumter Regional Hospital

Sumter Regional Hospital is a 143-bed acute health care facility located in Americus, Ga. Following an initial comprehensive market survey for the not-for-profit hospital, Hayslett Group developed a full range of marketing communications strategies designed to promote awareness of Sumter Regional Hospital and its service lines.

Hayslett Group developed a comprehensive PR and marketing campaign for television, radio, Internet and print for use in southwest Georgia's media outlets. Additionally, Hayslett Group managed Sumter Regional Hospital's internal communications, improving and enhancing management's link to its 750+ employee and physician base.

We also counseled SRH on issues involving current industry challenges, such as cuts in Medicare and Medicaid, certificate of need issues and other regulatory practices.

Hayslett Group added to the campaign with speeches, press releases and new marketing collateral, much of it turn-key, for SRH and its fundraising foundation. Finally, Hayslett Group helped plan several public functions, including the hospital's "Community Minded…Just Like You" kick-off celebration, an open house and tour of its cardiac catheterization laboratory, and the grand opening of Phase I of HealthPlex at Sumter Regional, a new imaging, diagnostic and laboratory facility.


Hayslett Group's overall campaign for Sumter Regional Hospital won a PRSA Integrated Communications Campaign award and the special event campaign for their HealthPlex grand opening won an award from IABC.
