We learned in mid-July that Hayslett Group’s name and business information are being used in an apparent phishing scam as part of what appears to be an effort to collect personal information from job seekers. Job openings purported to be from Hayslett Group were posted on a number of job sites around the country. At this point, we believe we have succeeded in having all the original postings taken down and are not aware of any current postings.
However, at least some “applicants” for the original position have been drawn into further email exchanges with fake representatives of our company about the possibility of a “personal assistant” role at the firm. Neither job is real. No offers have been extended and no contracts have been emailed to prospective hires.
If you have been involved with communication with supposed representatives of our company about a position, we encourage you to cease that communication and not to provide any additional personal or professional information. We regret that our name has been used in this manner, and also regret any inconvenience to anybody who has responded to these postings or communications.
We are, however, interested in knowing more about the nature and scope of this scam. If you responded to the original ad or any subsequent email communication and would be willing to share information about it, please feel free to contact Charles Hayslett at chayslett@hayslettgroup.com or by phone at 770-522-8855.
